During the first week of the 3rd Mediterranean World Cup organized depth training is going to take place every day between morning and early afternoon.
A suitable dive site has been selected in the bay of Kalamata located a short distance from the beach in front of our hotel (approximately 3 minutes by boat). 4-6 Warm up lines are going to be available near the main diving lines for freedivers to warm up and prepare before their training dives. This year 2 dive lines are going to be set up (one off the main dive boat and one in-water). |

|
The safety during the training part of the event is going to be covered by our experienced team of professional safety divers. They are going to be available in the water every day during training and additional personnel will be available on the boats ready to assist the freedivers during their training (set line depth, give countdowns etc). |
|
Use of lanyards on the main and warm up lines is mandatory during training and the competition.
Oxygen will be available at all times on the main diving boat for cases of emergency. Decompression oxygen (at the surface) will be available on request for those wishing to do O2 decompression after their dives (a small fee for decompression O2 will be applicable).
Conditions: At the time of the World Cup we expect water temperatures in the mid 20s C and water visibility of the order of 25-45m.
In order to attend the 3rd Mediterranean World Cup freedivers must present a valid medical certificate, issued no earlier than 1 year prior to the start of the event, at their registration. |
